Trivento is the name of Chile’s giant Concha y Toro in Mendoza. They produce 30 million bottles (yes, you read it correctly!) and own 1,500 hectares of vineyards, but they also have some small crafted lots that I had the chance to try with winemaker Germa | Deep ruby red in color, with powerful plum and red fruit aromas upfront which combine harmoniously with hints of vanilla from the oak aging. Well-structured on the palate, with fleshy tannins and a pleasant, persistent finish.
